How it works
- Upload your image. Any standard photo format (JPG, PNG, WebP) works.
- Adjust the crop box. Drag the box to select the region, and drag the corner handle to resize the square.
- Set a target KB size limit. Standard profile pictures usually don't need this, but you can limit the file size if the platform has a strict upload limit (e.g. 200KB).
- Click "Crop & Compress" to crop the image and download a clean square JPG.

Why is the crop area locked to a square?
Most online avatars, profile pictures (LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord), and icons demand a 1:1 aspect ratio. Locking it to a square ensures you get the exact region framed perfectly without guessing.
Does this upload my photos anywhere?
