About FileSwift

FileSwift is a small collection of free, single-purpose tools designed for those moments when a website rejects your file—whether it's too large, the wrong format, or simply not the type required. From converting images to PDF, extracting PDF pages as images, compressing files to meet upload limits, or switching between JPG, PNG, and WebP, FileSwift aims to make these everyday tasks quick and hassle-free.

Your files are never uploaded for processing. All conversions happen locally in your browser using JavaScript, so your files stay on your device. This approach keeps your documents private while making conversions fast—there's no sign-up, no email requirement, and no processing queue to wait in.

Why it exists

Many free file converters ask you to upload documents to their servers, require an email address, limit how many files you can process, or lock basic features behind a subscription. Since modern browsers are already capable of performing many of these conversions locally, FileSwift takes a different approach: free tools that work instantly while keeping your files on your own device.

Who's behind it

Hi, I'm Rifai, the creator of FileSwift.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and enjoy building simple web applications that solve everyday problems. FileSwift was created to make common file conversion tasks fast, private, and easy to use.

Rather than uploading your files to a remote server, FileSwift performs conversions directly in your browser whenever possible. That means your files stay on your device, with no account required, no waiting for uploads, and no unnecessary data collection.

FileSwift is an independent project that I build and maintain in my spare time. I'm always looking for ways to improve it and add useful tools. If you have feedback, found a bug, or have an idea for a new feature, feel free to reach out through the contact page.
